Why the name “Cavalcade?”

What is the word “Cavalcade?” When I wrote this word as the title of my portfolio, I was surprised at how many people never heard the word before or knew what it meant.

So..here goes and how it fits into my vision.

cav·al·cade /ˌkavəlˈkād (noun) a formal procession of peoplwalking, on horseback, orr riding in vehicles. a dramatic sequence or procession

Synonyms: procession, parade, motorcade. , march, train caravan, retinue, march-past.

Why did I choose this word as my title?

I chose this because when the circus comes to town, figuratively speaking, it is a cavalcade of color and excitement and design is everywhere. The stripes on the Zebras to the dots on the Leopards to the carriages that are adorned with gold and red, to the royal blue and silver costumes; the excitement is everywhere.

My hope is you find my work a cavalcade of design, color and art. I aim to have my work represent your vision along with my style and skill and gives you that same wondrous excitement of the circus coming to town.
